Black Hole of The Knittyverse

7:33:00 PM

ATTENTION: There is a black hole in the Knittyverse... and I've fallen in!
Seriously, I haven't been able to finish, nor put a dent into any of my knitting projects. These past few weeks have been consumed by work, family gatherings, long drives and wedding venue hunting. Not to metion, my knitting has attacked! It's true.

I finished knitting the body of Juliana's Tiny Tea Leaves Cardi, but turned out to be too big! No biggie. She can grow into it, right? Oh sure! Maybe in like... 5 years! Oops. To counter this frustration, I went right ahead and cast on another Vinelle!
Last weekend, Dennis and I crashed at his house in Poughkeepsie. His parents were away for the weekend, so we decided to take advantage of their BBQ. After we were done eating, boredom set in, so I suggested we drive to the mall, where he could exchange a pair of shoes he bought and I could raid Joann's Fabrics... keep in mind, this was like 8pm, and only had an hour to get there before they closed.
Within 20 minutes, I bought 6 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Seaspray, matching grosgrain ribbon and these super pretty floral buttons. This combo just screamed Vinelle Part Deux!

So, I started writing this post yesterday, and the Internets failed to save most of it. Thankfully, @FallingStitches gave me the perfect substitute!

8 Questions game!
I was tagged by @FallingStitches from Falling Stitches to write a bit on myself!

1. What's your staple meal (ie. what meal do you cook most often when you can't be bothered to be adventurous) ?

My idea of a quick meal: Pick a cuising (ie. Italian, Indian, Chinese) Throw onions, pepper, (or whatever veggies are indigenous to cuisine) and meat / diced tofu into a big pot, add the sauce & seasoning... stir until hot n' bubbly, dump in bowl and dinner's ready!

2. What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I was little, it was always an artist, actress, rock star, fashion designer, filmmaker... now I just want to knit and design my own patterns or run my own yarn shop.

3. What book are you reading at the moment (if any)
I'm out of vampire audio books to listen to. Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

4. How do you relax?
@FallingStitches said it: "KNITTING!!!!!"... Though, I'll add the occasional glass of vino into the mix. ;-)

5. What color are the interior walls of your home?
Off-White. Our landlord is quite anal about this.

6. What is your guiltiest pleasure?
T'hehe, pop music I can dance / sing along to, watching Gossip Girl.

7. What time is bedtime and getting up time?
Sleep - 11:30pm / 12am
Wake up - work day = 6:15 am and off day = 7am! I like to get several hours of knitting time in each day... or I go mad!

8. How long do you spend reading blogs (per day or per week)?
I wish I had more time. I try to catch up with a few blogs per day. There are so many that inspire me! I can't recommend Google Reader enough. If I can't read a full post, at least I can skim the subject, and a quick blurb.

So! That was fun! I hope you learned something from me! And now, my turn to tag people!!! I would love to learn something about :
OK, time to focus on knitting projects and get myself out of this black hole! This weekend, I promise more knitty goodness! No road trips, no work... I'll be in a knitting coma!

PS. Dennis and I set our wedding date! Sunday, June 5th, 2011 it is!!!
