I mention "crocking", which is when the dye in yarn rubs off on hands while knitting with it. This happens because the dye is reacting with the pH of skin. This doesn't necessarily mean the yarn will bleed when you soak and block it. But if you're still concerned, you can always add color catchers to the soak to catch any excess dye. Crocking usually occurs with blues, blacks, reds and teals.
I'm also giving 9" circular needles a try, to help speed-up my sock knitting. I'm still trying to get the gist of it.
